His Team Wins By 12!

"You and I are made to worship, you and I are forgiven and free!" Those lyrics keep resounding in my head. I even dreamed (it seemed all night) about being in Worship. Fellowship Church's Easter service was off the hook, AWESOME! The house was packed, but, that wasn't the awesome part. The awesome part was the Holy Spirit showing up in a mighty way, and the realization of being forgiven and free! The Praise Team was energized and filled with the Spirit and it flowed out over the congregation. I worshiped with all my heart & soul, as I cried out in song to my Lord, my hands stretched high. Thank you Father, that I am forgiven and free! Free, to be who you meant for me to be. Having been brought up in a traditional Baptist environment (you know, hands stiffly by your side, don't dare raise them or clap), it's taken me almost 2 years now to adjust to the idea, that I'm free to raise my hand in praise. Although, the desire has crept up in me a many of a time, and not just in the past 2 years, but the past 10 years even.

Anyone who knows me, even for a short time, knows that I have a high-strung personality. I'm loud, I'm excitable and when I do things, I do it with excitement and enthusiasm! I love sports, I love competition of any kind and when I play, I play to win! When I'm at a ballgame, you know I'm there! I'm cheering and screaming & excited about what's happening. I feel no inhibition, whatsoever. Why? Because, we've been conditioned to believe it's OK & even expected at sporting events. So, why is it, in Church during worship, we don't have that sense of excitement & enthusiasm? The God, I serve is so much more exciting than any sporting event, I've ever been too! He's so awesome, and I'm so in awe of Him, so excited to be His friend, to be a child of His, and to have been picked personally by Him to be on His Team, a real winning Team! A Team worthy of my excitement and enthusiasm!

The Old Testament says, "King David danced, as he sang praises to the Lord". Don't be shocked, if you see my personality come out in worship! Because all of my inhibitions have been broken, I AM FREE TO DANCE, TO SING AT THE TOP OF MY VOICE AND RAISE MY HANDS STRETCHED TO THE HEAVENS!

On His Team, losing is not an option. He expects us to play to win! His Team won by 12 Sunday! How many RBI's will you have for the Team?!?
